For providers
This board rates tools on publicly documented practice. Providers can claim their tool's page, submit corrections with evidence, and publish a short right of reply.
Every submission is reviewed before it appears, and provider-supplied content is labelled as such on the page.
What you can do
How claiming works
Get your invitation link
We email each provider's official contact a unique claim link. No link yet? Request one from your company email address.
Open the link and create a free account
The link takes you straight to your claim page. No site password is needed.
Review your page
Check the information we hold, confirm your official website, and write your reply of up to 120 words.
We review and publish
Your reply appears on the 'Product details' tab, clearly labelled, in your words or in wording you have agreed. If we think a change is needed we suggest it, and nothing appears until you agree. New public evidence goes through the normal assessment.
Scores cannot be bought
A score reflects the public evidence we could find on the date shown. It moves when that evidence moves, and that is the only thing that moves it.
We do offer a paid option, and this is what it is. An Enhanced profile gives a provider space on their own tool page for their own material: a description, a video, screenshots, case studies, integrations, procurement details and dated updates.
That space is useful because a good deal of a provider's work does not show up in the public documents we assess. How a safeguarding feature behaves in practice, what a school did with the product, what changed in the last release: these are real and they are hard to see from the outside. The Enhanced profile is where a provider can show them, in their own words, to a reader who is already looking at their page.
What an Enhanced profile includes
- Space on your tool page for your own material, presented properly
- Dated updates, so a school can see that the product is moving
What stays independent of it
- The assessment, the evidence and sources behind it, and the date
- The wording we use, and the band and rank that follow from the evidence
- How quickly we correct something when we have it wrong
Free to every provider, always
- The assessment, its evidence, its sources and its dates
- A right of reply: your answer to our assessment, in your words, dated and attributed
- Correcting a factual error, which costs nothing and always will
- An assessment stays on the board, and anything inaccurate is corrected rather than removed
Where a provider has an Enhanced profile, we say so on their tool page.
